Jóvenes artistas se han dado cita en el Berklee Performance Center para unir flamenco y música latina. El concierto Young flamenco!, que tuvo lugar el pasado 17 de noviembre, fue organizado por The Mediterranean Music Institute, una iniciativa del campus del Berklee College of Music en Valencia. La bailaora Belén López, el guitarrista Israel Cerreduela, los cantaores Tamara Escudero y Saúl Quirós, y el percusionista Rafael Jiménez ‘El Chispas’, actuaron bajo la dirección artística de Javier Limón y Víctor Mendoza, según la web de la organización. El compromiso de la prestigiosa facultad estadounidense con el flamenco quedó sellada cuando, en mayo de 2010, invistió Doctor Honoris Causa a Paco de Lucía.

The Mediterranean Music Institute brought flamenco to Berklee past November 17th in a show featuring five of Spain's top young artists. They shared the stage with some of Berklee's finest performers in a fusion of flamenco and Latin American jazz. Under the direction of artistic directors Javier Limón and Victor Mendoza, five of Spain's top young flamenco artists (dancer Belén López, guitarist Israel Cerreduela, singers Tamara Escudero and Saúl Quirós, and percussionist Rafael Jiménez ‘El Chispas’) appeared in the U.S. for a concert of traditional music and Latin jazz featuring some of Berklee College of Music's most inspiring international students. The event was part of the Berklee Flamenco Project, presented by the Mediterranean Music Institute at Berklee in Valencia and organized by Berklee College of Music and Spain Arts and Culture.
